Prior to joining The Clifton Group in February 1984, Mr. Ballsrud spent ten years with two subsidiaries of The St. Paul Companies successfully managing fixed income, money market and convertible securities in life insurance, pension and mutual fund portfolios.
Mr. Ballsrud holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a member of the Twin Cities Society of Security Analysts.
Mr. Ballsrud earned a BS in business administration from Mankato State University and an MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota.
He has been a frequent presenter at industry conferences and has authored several articles on portfolio applications of fixed income futures and options
