Prior to joining StoneCastle, Mr. Landau was a Managing Director in Debt Capital Markets at JPMorgan Chase from 2004 to 2006, where he most recently led the Hybrid Capital Products Group, which was responsible for the origination and structuring of hybrid and preferred stock securities.
Mr. Landau has contributed to the creation of several novel financing structures, including the first tax advantaged Tier I structure for U.S.
banks, Debt Exchangeable for Common Stock and Preferred Equity Redemption Cumulative Stock.
Prior to heading Hybrid Capital Products, Mr. Landau was a Managing Director in the Corporate Treasurer’s office of JPMorgan Chase, where he was responsible for management of the firm’s balance sheet, capital, funding strategies, liquidity, and rating-agency relationships.
Mr. Landau also held previous positions in the Capital Products group at Morgan Stanley, and the Corporate Treasury department at American Express.
Mr. Landau holds a B.A. in History from Kenyon College and an M.B.A. from Fordham University.
