Prior to Aberdeen, Mr. Gerlach joined Gartmore, which is now known as NWD Investments, in 2003.
Previously in 1991 he joined Miller Anderson & Sherrerd, LLP, which was acquired by Morgan Stanley in 1996.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as Programmer/Applications Software Development at Alphametrics Corporation.
