Mr. William C.
Sanders, Jr., is a Partner, President, COO & Chief Risk Officer at 400 Capital Management LLC.
He joined in 2010 and is responsible for investment policy, risk management, capital formation and strategic business initiatives as well as general business operations.
He serves as a member of the Investment and Operating Committees.
He has over thirty years of financial services experience.
Prior to 400 Capital Management, Mr. Sanders was a Founding Partner, Board Member and Co-Head of Trading for Amherst Holdings LLC, a privately held financial services firm specializing in structured credit investments.
In his role at Amherst, he oversaw trading, capital allocation, risk management and treasury functions as well as accounting, compliance and general business operations.
As part of the senior management team, he helped lead a $225 million strategic capital raise in 2008 which enabled Amherst to expand operations and finance new initiatives.
In addition to 400CM and Amherst, he has held senior trading and management positions at Freddie Mac, Bank of America and First Boston.
Mr. Sanders earned a B.S.
with honors in Business and Economics from the University of Delaware in 1986.
He currently serves on the Advisory Committee to the Board at PSI; a Washington, DC based nonprofit providing global health services in more than fifty countries.
He is the founding Chairman of The Wine Advocate Fund for Philanthropy whose focus is to raise money for various types of cancer research which has benefited the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
