Fontana, CFA MBA, is Chief Investment Officer at Investors Trust Co. (North Carolina).

Throughout his career, he has focused on serving the investment needs of individuals, institutions, and high net worth clients.
Mr. Fontana began his investment career in 1998 when he joined Interstate/Johnson Lane as an equity research analyst covering technology stocks, and he continued that role with Wachovia Securities until 2001.
From 2001 to 2006, he served as the equity research analyst for the North Carolina hedge fund firm Covenant Capital, LLC.
He has served in a variety of roles since 2006 including as chief financial officer for TCA Financial Group, LLC; president and chief investment officer for Caritas Capital, LLC; and as principal, portfolio manager, and director of research for Portfolio Capital Management, Inc.
In addition to earning his MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, he has earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Series 27 securities license.
