Mr. Chris Johns is Chief Investment Officer at State Street Global Advisors Ireland Ltd. He was appointed Chief Investment Officer of State Street Global Advisors' Dublin-based Fundamental Equity Team in January 2011, when the Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM) acquisition closed, having served BIAM as Head of Research, Head of Investments.
Before joining SSgA Ireland in September 2006, he was an Investment Strategist at Collins Stewart in the UK.
His previous posts include Head of Global Strategy Research at ABN AMRO, Director of Investment Strategy at Allied Irish Capital Management, Dublin, and Chief Economist for Bank of Ireland.
During the earlier years of his career he was an economist at UBS – Phillips & Drew, HM Treasury and at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research.
