Prior to joining Evolution Capital, Mr. Manchen has served as President of Cequent Consumer Products (a division of TriMas Corporation) from February 2003 until October 2005.
In 1991 he participated in a buyout of Highland Group Industries.
He was brought in as president of the company and majority owner, whereby he grew revenues over tenfold during a 12-year period and generated EBITDA margin of 20%.
The business was restructured in 1998 with Linsalata Capital Partners acquiring majority ownership until it was sold in its entirety to TriMas Corporation.
He brings over 30 years of consumer products operating experience.
He started his career with Filter Dynamics of Cleveland, rising to the position of Executive Vice President over a 14-year career progression.
He then joined Mr. Gasket in the role of Executive Vice President and served on its board of directors before leaving the company to join Highland.
Mr. Manchen is a graduate of Ohio University with a BS degree in 1971 and earning an MBA with a concentration in marketing in 1972.
