Mr. Belk is a Senior Vice President in the Global Corporate Strategy and Development Group and Finance Executive for the Global Principal Investments business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
In his Corporate Strategy and Development role, Mr. Belk is responsible for working on various acquisitions and divestiture-related projects.
He joined the Corporate Strategy and Development Group in January of 2002.
He has served as Finance Executive for Global Principal Investments since March 2009.
Mr. Belk joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 1995 in the Accounting Policy group in Finance where he was responsible for providing accounting technical support on specific transactions including merger and acquisition activities.
During his career, Mr. Belk has held several senior leadership positions including Corporate Forecasting where he managed the group responsible for providing forecasts and analysis of the Corporation’s financial results and in Asset Securitization support as part of a finance team responsible for supporting the Bank’s asset securitization activities.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Mr. Belk worked from 1989 – 1995 in the financial services practice of KPMG in Charlotte, North Carolina where he was a senior audit manager.
Mr. Belk holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He is also a certified public accountant.
