Ms. Misfeldt joined Aberdare Ventures from Bay City Capital, a leading life sciences merchant bank.
At Bay City Capital, she evaluated numerous investment opportunities in biopharmaceuticals and assisted portfolio companies in their fundraising activities.
She was also heavily involved in transforming a molecular diagnostics initiative into a new private company focused on providing clinical trials testing and assay development services to pharmaceutical partners.
Prior to Bay City Capital, Ms. Misfeldt served as an Associate in the Healthcare Group at Chase H&Q, where she was involved in numerous advisory and capital raising activities for the bank’s publicly traded and privately held clients.
Since joining Aberdare in early 2003, Ms. Misfeldt has played an instrumental role in new investments in Idun, Avera Pharmaceuticals, and Ruxton Pharmaceuticals.
In addition to assuming oversight responsibilities for these companies, Ms. Misfeldt has been actively involved with Anacor, Microbia, Salmedix, and Pharmion at various times.
Ms. Misfeldt received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MPH from Columbia University.
She is also a member of the Kauffman Fellows Program, Class 9.
