Mr. Peter Nieuwland, CFA MBA, is a Managing Director & Regional Portfolio Manager at Northwood Securities Europe BV.
He previously held a similar position at EII Capital Management, Inc. (EII) for the period of 2001-2014 where he was Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager, established EII’s first offshore office and built out the investment team.
Prior to joining EII he spent five years at the largest pension fund in the Netherlands, APG, where he was initially involved in the management of its U.S.
REIT portfolio and was ultimately promoted to a portfolio management position with regional responsibility for Europe.
During his career at APG he was involved with investments in private real estate, as well as publicly listed property companies.
He has over 18 years of global real estate research and investment experience, including 13 years managing real estate securities portfolios, with a focus on the Europe, Middle East, and African (EMEA) markets.
Mr. Niewland has an MSc in Economics from the University of Maastricht and is a CFA charter holder.
