Winters is Special Limited Partner at Valley Ventures.
He joined the firm in 1993.
He has over 25 years experience in venture investing and has been a member of many public and private pharmaceutical, device and diagnostic company boards, including CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals, OrthoLogic, Creative BioMolecules, Microgenics, Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals and Ascent Healthcare.
Dr. Winters came to the United States for a post doctoral fellowship at UCLA, then joined first Goodyear and subsequently Diamond Shamrock in research and technology transfer positions.
He entered the venture capital business in 1981 as VP of DS Ventures, Diamond Shamrock’s venture investing arm, then was a founding partner of Columbine Venture Funds, with two funds of over $80M in capital.
Dr. Winters holds a BSc and PhD in chemistry at the University of Wales.
