Mr. Vladimir Tyurenkov is Managing Director, Eastern Europe and Russia at Hansberger Global Investors Previously, Mr. Tyurenkov spent several years working for the Russian government and on the Pepperdine University Russian Conversion and Privatization Program, in which he developed and implemented business plans for Russian companies entering the private sector.
His work included restructuring company product lines, as well as financial resource management strategy.
Mr. Tyurenkov has an in-depth understanding of Russian business development and of the Eastern European marketplace.
As part of a six-person task force, he was involved in finalizing the "5+5" Russian electrical utility-sector restructuring program.
He is currently on the board of directors of OGK-4, one of the major electrical generation companies in Russia.
He has a master’s degree in computer science from Moscow State Technical University and an MBA in finance from Pepperdine University.
