Mr. Niland joined Martin Currie in 2007 after five years at Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he headed up the product management and marketing department.
He joined Credit Suisse in 2002 as a client portfolio manager with responsibility for client relationships and business development.
Before that, Mr. Niland managed fixed-income portfolios at Morgan Stanley and at Citibank.
He began his career at JP Morgan in 1987, working on the trading floor with short-term fixed-income securities.
