Mr. Meenoo Sameer is Senior Vice President at Amalgamated Bank since 2010.
Mr. Sameer started on his US career path by joining GE in 1996 as an Associate on the Corporate Audit Staff where he executed financial and consulting projects and led corporate initiatives across many different businesses and industries for GE globally.
In 2009, Mr. Sameer joined Focus Management Group's turnaround consulting practice, helping companies retool their business strategy, improve both the EBITDA and their top line; Evaluate enterprise value as a going concern and as a sum of all asset classes to obtain additional capital (equity and/or debt), find strategic merger possibilities or spin-off non-core assets in developing and implementing a long term solution.
Mr. Sameer was recognized with several awards including 'GE Imagine' and 'GE Impact' Awards while at GE for his contribution to business objectives.
He is also a certified six-sigma Green Belt.
He acquired deep domain knowledge of Oil & Gas sector while working for Bharat Petroleum (ex.
Shell Oil subsidiary) and Larsen & Toubro in India prior to his migration to the US.
Mr. Sameer earned a masters degree in Finance from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Earlier, he received an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology - R, both ranked among top five schools in engineering and management respectively, in India.
He invests up to 100 hours annually mentoring and promoting cultural diversity, and lives with his family in New York.
