Prior to joining Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon, Dr. Timmer was with Aim Therapeutics, where he joined in June 2007.
Before that, he was a CSO at BioQuest Innovations, where he joined in August 2005.
Previously, he has extensive experience and operational management expertise in preclinical and early clinical drug development, intellectual property management, technology licensing, and pharmaceutical business development.
Most recently, as head of drug development at BioQuest Innovations Inc., he successfully moved the lead compound for NeuroMedix Inc. through a program of toxicology, safety pharmacology, and cGMP manufacturing in less than 12 months.
Dr. Timmer’s previous experience includes the following positions: Technical Advisor at Troutman Sanders LLP (2004 to 2005), Intellectual Property Group; Director of Clinical Operations at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (2000 to 2004); Director of Clinical Operations at Reddy US Therapeutics, Inc. (2000 to 2004); Director of Business Development at Reddy US Therapeutics, Inc. (2000 to 2004), Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine, Dept.
of Physiology (1996 to 2000).
Dr. Timmer is the author of 19 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and is an inventor on 6 issued patents and 8 pending patent applications covering composition and use of triazine compounds for inflammatory and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Timmer received BA in Chemistry in 1983 from Macalester College, MA in Chemistry in 1986, and PhD in Biochemistry in 1991 from the University of Texas at Austin.
