Mr. Stevens joined Wells Capital Management in July 2010.
Prior to that, he was with Evergreen Investment Management since 1994.
He served as President and CIO of Meridian Investment Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Evergreen from 1999 to 2001.
Additionally, he managed the First Union Market Neutral Trust, a hedge fund from 1998 to 2000 and the Select Strategic Growth Fund from 1994 to 1997.
Previously, he served as the Director of Research and Portfolio Manager for Cedar Hill Associates, Inc. from 1989 to 1994.
He was also Director of Equity Investments for Midwest Financial Investment Management Co., from 1988 to 1989 and a Portfolio Manager for Harris Trust & Savings Bank from 1986 to 1988.
Additionally, he held positions at First National Bank of Maryland from 1985 to 1986, Northwestern Bank from 1982 to 1985 and First Investors Corporation from 1981 to 1982.
Mr. Stevenson received his BSBA at Appalachian State University.
He is a chartered financial analyst.
