Profil
Young Kwon is a Managing Director at Atalaya and serves at the firm’s Head of Real Estate.
He has extensive real estate experience in debt, equity and various commercial real estate structured products.
Prior to Atalaya, he spent seven years at Apollo Global Management as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, with a focus on a variety of equity and credit-related assets, including CMBS trading and investing and consumer ABS.
Previously, Young was Portfolio Manager at J.P.
Morgan Asset Management, where he managed the $6.5 billion Mortgage Private Placement Fund and was a member of the Investment Committee in the U.S.
Fixed Income Group.
He has also worked for Nippon Life Insurance of Japan, Morgan Stanley, and began his career at Battle Fowler, LLP.
Young holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from the State University of New York Stony Brook, where he was an intercollegiate tennis and squash player, and he holds a JD from the Jacob D.
