Aon plc est le leader mondial de la gestion de risques et du courtage en assurance. L'activité s'organise autour de 2 pôles :

- gestion des risques et courtage en assurance et en réassurance : gestion des risques (risques d'entreprise, risques environnementaux, risques de redressement et de restructuration, etc.), et mise en oeuvre de plans d'assurance de responsabilité civile, de dommages aux biens, etc. ;

- prestations de conseil en capital humain : prestations de conseil en rémunération, en avantages sociaux, en recrutement, en retraite, etc.

La répartition géographique du CA est la suivante : Etats-Unis (44,3%), Amériques (9,4%), Royaume Uni (13,6%), Irlande (0,8%), Europe-Moyen Orient-Afrique (20%) et Asie-Pacifique (11,9%).
