Mr. Davenport has wealth of experience in private equity investing, oil and gas, commercial real estate and early-stage growth companies.
Between 2005 and 2007, he was Managing Director of Virtus Financial Group, a Los Angeles boutique investment banking firm with a concentration in commercial real estate and oil and gas investing.
He facilitated an investment partnership in O’Brien Energy Company, an oil and gas operator in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In July 2008, O’Brien Energy Company sold a minority position of its holding for $653 million to Berry Petroleum Company.
Between 2003 and 2005 he was Managing Director of Yarto International Group, LLC, an international food company.
He was responsible for day to day operations and business development in the U.S.
and Mexico.
Between 1997 and 2003, he served on the board of directors of Equidyne Corporation, a publicly-traded medical devices company listed on The American Stock Exchange.
While at Equidyne, he was also Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Additionally, he was a member of the team appointed to lead a secondary offering for Equidyne in the German Neur market.
Mr. Davenport began his professional career in 1992 by founding Davenport Interests, Inc., an investment company that concentrated on investments in commercial real estate, oil and gas and early-stage growth companies.
He was responsible for the original financing of The Planet, a managed web hosting firm that today is one of the largest private hosting companies in the U.S.
He served on the board of The Planet between 1998 and 2002.
He also arranged multiple private financing transactions with various public companies.
Additionally, he financed and operated multiple commercial real estate assets in Texas.
Mr. Davenport, a native of Midland, Texas, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991.
