Mr. Anderson began his career in the investment department of the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company.
He later worked within the equity research unit of the Connecticut Bank & Trust Company.
In 1986, he joined Hartford National Bank, the predecessor of Shawmut Investor Advisors, and achieved the position of Vice President in the equity research department during a tenure of 10 years at Shawmut and its successor, Fleet Bank.
He received his B.A., Economics degree from Trinity College (District of Columbia).
