Mr. John M.
Brooks is President & Chief Executive Officer at Buckeye State Mutual Insurance Co. He joined Buckeye Insurance Group in 2001 as Assistant Vice President of Claims.
Two years later, he was promoted to Senior VP of Insurance Operations.
From 2008 to 2016, he served as Chief Operating Officer.
During that time, he rebalanced the insurance portfolio to enhance the risk position, incorporated analytics into rating structures, improved auto loss ratios, and integrated IT into Operations to improve the customer experience.
He was named Interim President and Chief Executive Officer in March 22, 2017.
He served the Ohio Association of Mutual Insurance Companies as President in 2012 and as Director since 2009.
Mr. Brooks graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Dayton in 1992.
He expanded his expertise through coursework with the Insurance Institute of America earning the Associate in Claims, Associate in Management, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and the Associate in Reinsurance designations.
