Matt Sherman is a Managing Director at Altera, where he focuses on investment opportunities across asset classes including real estate and private credit.
Matt also serves on the Investment Committee.
Matt has served in the investment services industry for over 14 years and has experience being a sponsor, founding East Paces Capital Management, LLC in September 2017.
At EPCM, Matt focused on multi-loan distressed real estate investments and mixed-use redevelopments in opportunity zones.
Matt invests, or has invested, in the portfolios he oversees personally.
Prior to EPCM, Matt worked as a VP and Portfolio Manager at Capital Real Estate Advisers, managing several real estate portfolios totaling over 1,000 assets across the nation.
His hands-on experience in sponsoring a private fund strategy and structuring transactions is pivotal to Altera’s underwriting process.
Matt earned a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University.
