Tigran Karapetian is Director at TPB, where he oversees sourcing and due diligence of new investment opportunities across agriculture, food, consumer, and synthetic biology, and he plays an active role in supporting and advising TPB’s existing portfolio companies.
He was instrumental in driving TPB’s largest investment to-date – a SPAC business combination with Brazil’s leading ag retailer, Lavoro.
Before TPB, Tigran led fundraising, M&A, and corporate strategy at synthetic biology pioneer Zymergen, where he served as Associate Director of Strategy and Corporate Development.
Prior to that, he was a hedge fund public equity investor covering a variety of sectors at Citadel (Global Equities) and Picton Mahoney Asset Management.
Tigran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Finance (with honors) from McGill University.
Tigran is an avid reader of history and science fiction, and he’s passionate about cinema and strategy board games.
