Prior to founding the firm in 2005, he served as the sector head responsible for Japan/Asia at Maverick Capital from 2000 to 2004.
From 1994 to 2000, he served as a Japanese equity institutional research salesman at Morgan Stanley in New York City.
He traded Japanese equity, convertible bonds and warrants in Tokyo and London (1989-1991) with Morgan Stanley; he also served as the only non-Japanese trader on the floor of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (1986-1989), also with Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Kelly graduated from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1985 with a B.S.F.S.
and certificate in Asian Studies.
