Mr. Daniel L.
Thornton is Vice President & Manager of Investment Services at Kanaly Trust LTA. He is responsible for working with the investment team to implement Kanaly’s overall investment strategy and manage the technology involved in trading, rebalancing and performance reporting.
He joined the firm in 2008.
Previously, Mr. Thornton was at AIM Investments (now Invesco) in the position of Operations Manager and Assistant Vice President.
There he was responsible for the integration and ongoing management of AIM and INVESCO’s separately managed account trading operations, which represent over 28,000 accounts and $8 billion in assets under management.
In addition, he also worked extensively with the IT group to develop internal workflows for paperless environment and trade order and model communication system.
He has over eighteen years of industry experience to the firm.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Houston-Victoria.
