As Executive Director of Strategy, Jem focuses on driving strategic review of Claritas’ private equity portfolio companies and engaging in portfolio-related dialogue with clients and other key stakeholders.
Additionally, she collaborates with the broader Claritas team to identify and evaluate future opportunities where the firm is uniquely positioned to execute on its clients’ behalf and provide value to its community partners.
A graduate of Harvard College, Jem began her career at Deutsche Bank, where she advised leading tech companies on mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, and leveraged buyouts.
Jem later pursued an MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on strategic management.
Jem further deepened her understanding of business strategy as a researcher at Harvard Business School, working directly with Harvard’s strategy expert Professor Michael E.
Porter.
Most recently, Jem was Director as part of the Strategy & Asset Allocation team at Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI), where she designed and led a key strategic initiative across the LMI platform and regularly interacted with Senior Leaders at LMI and Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.
