Mr. Harkins spent over 15 years working in real estate, mortgage lending and commercial finance before beginning his financial advisor career with Smith Barney in 2002.
He began his partnership in 2009 at Smith Barney and focus on the needs of owners of privately held business, small endowments and high net worth individuals.
Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he had been a Vice President-Senior Account Manager for GE Capital’s Commercial Asset Funding group in Bellevue (part of CEF) for over 4 years.
He developed a strong appreciation for small business owners having also worked for his father’s real estate firm in Lowell, Ma selling real estate from the time he was 18.
He also spent several years in mortgage lending for Boston Federal Savings and the former First Bank in Tewksbury Mass.
Mr. Harkins earned a BA in Political Science from St Michael’s College in Vermont in 1987.
