Hughes is a Portfolio Manager at Optimum Investment Advisors LLC.

He has held senior positions in Institutional Equity Sales and investment research at firms including Bank of America, Wells Fargo Van Kasper & Company, Hambrecht & Quist and McCullough, Andrews & Cappiello, Inc. He received his BA from San Francisco State University in 1969, and an MA in Economics in 1972.
He is a CFA charterholder.
