Prior to joining Stonecap Securities in May 2010, Mr. Hon spent four years as a research associate focusing on metals and mining for a leading Canadian independent firm.
Preceding to his work in investment research, he honed his quantitative and qualitative analysis skills as a Senior Portfolio Analyst at CIBC Wealth Management and, prior to that, spent three years as a Sales Manager/ Investment Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy.
He also has two years experience as a Trading Specialist with Merrill Lynch Canada.
Mr. Hon obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from McGill University in 2000 and obtained his CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation in 2004.
He also holds a CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
