Mr. Whitehead was previously a Managing Director of Landmark Partners Europe in the UK, which he joined in 2003.
He is responsible for transaction origination, business development and investor relations across Europe and the Middle East.
He previously established Cygnus Capital Ltd. (2002), the corporate finance boutique that raised the capital to establish CNBA Arabia.
Previously, he was a Director of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s Private Equity Team (1999).
He has also worked with Merrill Lynch and Citibank in London and with Banque Indosuez in Bahrain (1995).
Before his investment career, Mr. Whitehead was a senior officer in the British military, serving as an advisor in the Kuwait Army for two years.
A keen sportsman, he has represented Great Britain as a bobsleigh driver and as an offshore sailor at World Championship level.
He later raced motorbikes.
He holds an MBA in Marketing from Henley Management College.
He speaks Arabic and French.
