Mr. Hickey joined Prospect Capital Management in March 2009.
He spent three years at Goldman Sachs where he was a senior member of the Leveraged Finance Group in the Investment Banking Division, most recently as the Head of the FIG Leveraged Finance practice.
In this role, Mr. Hickey structured, originated and executed senior secured loan, high yield, and mezzanine transactions for corporate and sponsor clients.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Hickey was an Executive Director in the Financial Sponsors/ Leveraged Finance Group of CIBC World Markets from 2002 to 2005.
While at CIBC, Mr. Hickey was a senior banker covering financial sponsors and corporations.
In this role, he structured, originated and executed leveraged finance, equity, and M&A advisory transactions.
From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Hickey was a Vice President in Investment Banking at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette/ Credit-Suisse First Boston in the Financial Sponsors/ Leveraged Finance Group.
From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Hickey was an associate in the Leveraged Finance Group of NationsBank and completed a credit training program.
During his career, Mr. Hickey has closed approximately 60 financing and advisory transactions for his clients, raising over $60 billion in capital.
Mr. Hickey began his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Hickey received an M.B.A. from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management and graduated from University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A in Accountancy.
