Fondatrice du Groupe Hayek S.A.R.L., Nayla Hayek est une femme d'affaires suisse qui a été à la tête de 6 sociétés différentes et qui occupe actuellement le poste de présidente du conseil d'administration de The Swatch Group SA, de présidente du conseil de surveillance de Swatch SA, de présidente du Rivoli Group LLC et de présidente et directrice générale de Harry Winston, Inc. (qui sont toutes des filiales de The Swatch Group AG), président du conseil d'administration de Hayek Group S.A.R.L. et directeur général de Hayek Engineering AG. M. Hayek est également membre du conseil d'administration de Swiss Timing SA, Belenos Clean Power Holding AG, WAT Holding AG et Hayek Holding AG, directeur de Hayek Immobilien AG et membre de la World Arabian Horse Organization. Dans le passé, le Dr. Hayek a été directeur à la Suva.

Georges Nicolas Hayek a fondé Sesame Films. Actuellement, M. Hayek est président du conseil d'administration et directeur de The Swatch Group SA et président de Swiss Timing SA, président de The Swatch Group (France) SAS et membre du conseil de surveillance et de la direction de Swatch SA (qui sont toutes des filiales de The Swatch Group SA). Il est également membre du conseil d'administration de 7 autres sociétés. Il a précédemment occupé le poste de directeur du marketing chez Swatch Ltd.

Nicolas George Hayek, né en 1928, était le co-fondateur, le Président et l'administrateur délégué du Conseil d'administration du Swatch Group dont le siège principal est situé à Bienne (Suisse).

Il est décédé le lundi 28 juin 2010, à l'âge de 82 ans, dans ses bureaux, à la suite d'un arrêt cardiaque. Son fils, Nick, devrait reprendre les rênes de l'entreprise numéro un mondial de l'horlogerie.

Après avoir, pendant plus de quatre ans, oeuvré à la restructuration des deux sociétés d'horlogerie Asuag et SSIH et à leur fusion sur ses conseils, Nicolas Hayek a, en 1985, repris la majorité du capital du nouveau groupe avec des investisseurs suisses. En juin 1986, il a été nommé Président et Administrateur délégué du Conseil d'administration et Président de la direction générale.

Nicolas Hayek a joué un rôle décisif dans l'essor du Swatch Group, dont font partie les marques de montres Swatch, Breguet, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz, Léon Hatot, Omega, Union, Longines, Rado, Tissot, Calvin Klein, Certina, Mido, Pierre Balmain, Hamilton, Flik Flak et Endura.

Les stratégies que Nicolas Hayek a développées dans les années 80 ont non seulement été couronnées de succès, mais elles ont permis à toute l'industrie horlogère suisse, dès 1984, de regagner sa position de leader mondial.

En automne 2007, Nicolas G. Hayek a initié la fondation d'une nouvelle société : Le Swatch Group SA et Hayek Engineering SA ont crée, avec Groupe E, la grande banque internationale Deutsche Bank, les écoles polytechniques fédérales, ainsi que d'autres groupes intéressés, une compagnie centrale (Holding) de développement et de production de systèmes d'énergies propres et renouvelables. Son nom : Belenos Clean Power Ltd., basée à Biel/Bienne (Suisse).

L'objectif de cette société est de développer, produire et mettre sur le marché des systèmes de production d'électricité basés sur la technique de l'hydrogène et des piles à combustible. Le but est d'alimenter la population en électricité aussi bien pour les besoins résidentiels que pour la mobilité. Ceci permettra de progresser très sensiblement dans la maîtrise de la problématique énergétique entièrement propre afin d'épargner l'environnement en favorisant la compensation des émissions de CO2. Les deux entreprises ont un grand savoir-faire dans le domaine.

A sa mort, son fils, Georges Nicolas Hayek (né le 23 octobre 1954), dit Nick Hayek a repris la présidence de Swatch Group.
