Dr. Rose joined Deerfield in June 2000.
Prior to joining Deerfield, Dr. Rose was a Director at West End Capital Management, which managed Value Capital, a $400 MM hedge fund.
From 1989 until 1998, Dr. Rose was a proprietary trader at Greenwich Capital Markets, where his responsibilities included development of the derivatives trading desk and trading the firm's proprietary global fixed income account.
Prior to Greenwich, Dr. Rose worked in fixed income research at Salomon Brothers, where he concentrated on the development of the trading research department and fixed income arbitrage trading strategies.
Dr. Rose holds a Ph.D.
in Mathematics from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from Lund University in Sweden.
